DRAWING NEARER TO THE TIKUNAS

Location: Tikuna village (1 hour from Leticia, trough the Amazon river, in Brazil)
June 19 - 23, 2011
Cost: 325 dollars

We invite you to go with us to a Tikuna tribe to get a better perspective of cross-cultural missions.

What will you do? You will meet people with a different culture. For one week you will be living in a tribal society that is not your own and in an amazing and strange environment. You can try, through the learning of the Language and the Culture, the experience that a missionary faces in his/her first weeks in the missionary work. Especially, facing the reality to see people who need of the LORD, wi’ll open your heart to God like never before.

Motivation for Missions
Focus on God and renew your passion to glorifiy his name among the nations.

Critical topics on cross-cultural missions
The will of God, the missionary call, syncretism and animism.

Cross-cultural communication
Learn and apply technics for learning language, phonetics, and culture.

Evangelism and cross-cultural church plantation
Review all that involves evangelize and founding a church.

INCLUDES: Air transportation Bogota – tribal area – Bogota, River transportation to the tribal site, Meals for 5 days, An introduction to the Tikuna language and culture, Workshops on missions,Written materials, Time with the people, Walks through the jungle, Time with the missionaries.
