Yokima Mayarino tells how it went this year in her preparation to serve in church planting among the Cubeo in the Vaupes. We thank the Lord for the good opportunities she had to gain the appreciation of the Cubeo and we pray for good progress in her learning the language this year 2012.

Juan and Stella Horta participate in a ministry that watches out for the well being of the Missionaries. Pray for the Lord’s wisdom so that they can help the missionaries and for the resources for the trips to care for this pastoral care.

Ricardo and Sonia Madero are translating Bible lessons into the Cubeo culture and language so they can begin teaching this group in the Vaupes. Pray for the funds to pay the Indians that are involved full time for this project.

COLOMBIA: Missionary Training:
November 19 new missionaries graduated who want to serve the Lord among those who are unreached. They will take part in a survey trip to determine the possibilities of beginning new missionary works among groups still unreached and be part of the future missionary work that may result from the trip. Pray for guidance from the Lord to how do His will and for provision financially so that they can serve full time as cross cultural church planters where there are none.

The Sanchez family has been serving the Lord in Mexico, training Mexicans for missionary work among the unreached ethnic groups. Pray for the future missionaries that the Lord would prepare them for future ministries.

Thank God we have a good group of students with a great desire to serve the Lord. Pray that the students can learn and grow in the Lord and for the teachers to continue assuming responsibility for diligently manage the Word of God.

COLOMBIA: Literacy:
Since early March, a missionary who specializes in literacy is spending a couple of weeks with each of the teams in their workplace, to assess how much progress can be achieved in order to start reading lessons with each ethnic group in a not too distant future. Pray that this assistance can help missionaries to implement this program and that it is an effective tool in the access of indigenous groups to the Word of God.
